As her eyes examined him, his examined her, technique he had never seen before, must’ve been one of those comonwealth inventions he’d hear stories about.
His gaze would shift to the curious bystanders standing still around the two, he’d eye one randomly selected gambler and nodded his head towards the casino, causing the entire crowd, like a herd of Brahmins to move, and get on with their ‘stuck in a loop’ lives.

He’d place a quick hand on her shoulder, as a gesture for her to move along as he started stepping forward himself.
She tilted her head slightly. He certainly was forward, wasn’t he? She glanced back as the other patrons shuffled off. She was a little more interested now.
“That’s usually the point, ain’t it?” she quipped as he sidled up beside her. She hesitated to follow his lead, just long enough to give a hint at how unmovable she could be, if so inclined. And then she fell into step with him.
“But just whose eyes are they?”

“ John Doe and the rest of the don’t-matters ‘cat– ‘’
Once they moved past the cautious guards he’d let go of her shoulder, making a quick turn of the heel to face her again, the games in the background.
‘’ First time to the Tops ? ‘’
