"Good morning. I see the assassins have failed."
It should have been Benny who looked like he saw a ghost, instead it was the woman, the woman who should have been dead, that held the staggering look. When she stepped into New Vegas encountering Benny alone was on the agenda. But just as seeing House, it was not a task Rhoda wanted to dive in performing.
Yes, she was at The Tops. Yes, she sat and had a drunk or–two, three, the waiter removed each glass so Rhoda didn’t know how many atomic cocktails she consumed. But still, Rhoda was in the Aces Theatre. Not walking past the gamblers or sneaking past the guards to get to her target: she was being low profile until ‘otherwise.’ Whatever otherwise to her meant.
Her mouth was dry. Her pearly whites secretly bit and nipped at the inner flesh of her jaw. If not so off-guard and intimidated, Rhoda wanted to snip at him. House did recommend a public call-out could have held effect of some sorts. Alas, less than sober she uttered,
“Assassins? You mean, the nuts and bolts guarding this dump?” These nuts and bolts being the Securitrons at Freeside. “I paid my way in…” She drunkenly hissed.
Benny blinked a few times,
Having a hard time understanding the lady…
Not able to follow her point exactly.
Might’ve been the drunk rambling.
‘’ Baby, that is what i call selfish–
What about hundreds of families ‘hey?
You could prevent them from turning into slaves.
Soldiers—
Or from losing all opinion…’’
Atleast, those were his predictions if either the Legion,
The NCR, or Mister House gained controll over the wasteland.
After explaining his ‘point’ he grabbed the two atomic cocktails and placed them back on the table again, grabbing one, holding it up.
‘’ Never really understood what’s so good about these baby.’’
He then rose a brow at her final statement.
‘’ That what he told you kitten?’’
